Different Types of RAM
RAM is divided into two parts based on its structure. Those parts are: –
SRAM – STATIC RAM
SRAM memory is a memory whose data can be protected only while power is on. This memory is volatile. The address decoder handles this memory.
This means that this memory works on the word line, which is divided into separate laches. In memory, data goes into binary code ie 1,0,1,0.
S RAM is more expensive than other RAM. The simple reason for this is that it works on the most recent system, and that is why it is also used by more people.
DRAM – DYNAMIC RAM
D RAM is much more sluggish and cheaper than other RAM and RAM. Only one transistor and only one capacitor are used inside this RAM.
Whatever data is saved inside it is saved as current, so it takes more energy because continuous recharge is its first need.

Different Types of ROM

P ROM is the flower form of Programmable Read-Only Memory. Prom is much different from other types of ROMs because a prom programmer is required to write any type of data on it.
Without this device, it is not possible to write any data to the PROM. The direct difference between prom and other types of ROM is that the prom is blanc i.e. it is not programmed, whereas other types of Rom are programmed while making.
EPROM has a flower form, Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory. EPROMs are a special type of memory, which keeps their data protected until exposed to ultraviolet rays.
It is considered one of the safest types of Rome. It can be made reprograms only by ultraviolet rays. This can be done with the help of a special device called a PROM programmer or a PROM burner.

EPROM is different from other ROMs because it can be reprogrammed only with the help of electricity. Like all other ROMs, it is not as fast as ROM.
