Pollution is the mixing of elements or pollutants into the atmosphere. When these pollutants are found in our natural resources. So many adverse effects arise due to this. Human activities mainly cause pollution, and it affects our entire ecosystem. Problems ranging from minor illnesses to existential crisis arise for humans due to the effects caused by infection.

Essay on Pollution Essay – 1 (300 words): Small and big essay on pollution

As a child, whenever we went to our grandmother’s house during summer vacation, there was greenery everywhere. It was great to play in the lush gardens. I loved hearing the birds chirping. Now that scene is nowhere to be seen.

For today’s children, such scenes are limited to books only. Just think about why it happened. Plants, animals, birds, humans, water, air, etc. all form biological and abiotic components. Everyone has a special place in the environment.

Meaning of pollution

Man has blindly cut trees for his selfishness. Due to which the environment has become imbalanced. Pollution is also the main reason for this imbalance.

Let’s know what pollution is?

When undesirable elements in the air, water, soil, etc. dissolve and pollute it to such an extent that it starts adversely affecting health, it is called pollution. Pollution creates natural imbalances. It is also a danger bell for human life.

It is the responsibility of human beings to harm the environment by unintentionally exploiting natural resources, and now solve the problem of pollution as much wisely. Indiscriminate felling of forests is also included in the causes of corruption. It can be controlled by planting more and more trees. Similarly, several measures can be taken to reduce pollution.

If we have to give a clean, safe and lifesaving environment to our next generation, drastic steps have to be taken in this direction. And to control pollution is necessary not only for our country but for the whole earth so that all the planet can live.

Essay on Pollution – 2 (400 words)

We first need to know that due to our activities, pollution is increasing day by day and spreading imbalances in the environment.

Earlier there used to be a lot of ponds in my village, but now there is not one. Today we have made it dirty by washing our dirty clothes, bathing animals, contaminating houses and throwing wastewater, garbage and garbage etc. into the ponds. Now its water is not able to be washed or drinkable from anywhere. It is on the verge of extinction.

Types of pollution

There are mainly four types of pollution in the atmosphere –

Water Pollution

The contaminated water coming out of the houses flows into the rivers. The waste and waste of factories are also left in the rivers. In agriculture, groundwater is polluted with suitable fertilizers and insecticides.

Water pollution causes dangerous diseases like diarrhoea, jaundice, typhoid, cholera etc.

Air pollution

Hazardous gases such as carbon monoxide, greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, chloro-fluoro carbon, etc., are emitted from the chimney of the factories and the smoke emanating from the vehicles running on the roads. All these gases cause substantial damage to the atmosphere.

This has a terrible effect on our health. Asthma, measles, TB Diseases like diphtheria, influenza etc. are the cause of air pollution.

Noise pollution

Humans also can listen, all the sounds above that are enough to make them deaf—the loud sound of machines, the loud noise emanating from automobiles, which adversely affects our health. The pollution caused by them is called noise pollution. This causes insanity, irritability, restlessness, deafness etc.

Soil pollution

Use of excessive amounts of fertilizers and insecticides in agriculture causes soil pollution. Also, eating food grains in polluted soil hurts the health of humans and other animals. This pollution is also spread in the water flowing on its surface.

It is essential to stop pollution. Environmental pollution is a huge problem today, and if it is not finished in time, no one can save us from its destruction. No creature present on earth can remain untouched by its effects. The life of trees, plants, animals and birds etc. is in danger because of us. We also have to protect their lives. Our existence is possible only by their presence.

Essay on Pollution – 3 (500 words)

A few days after Diwali in 2019, the Pollution Holiday took place in the capital Delhi. It was extremely shocking that the Delhi government had to close the school due to pollution. How sad. Such a situation has come in our country.

Environmental pollution is the biggest problem in today’s time. The excess of science has simplified our lives and has also contributed to increasing pollution. Man has dramatically manipulated nature for his benefit. The character has its law, all animals live their life cycle according to that rule, but we humans have managed it enough, which has upset the balance of nature.

Main causes of pollution

Following are the main causes of pollution –

Increasing population is also an important reason, due to which forests have been cut continuously. Deforestation is one of the biggest reasons for environmental pollution. Trees only purify the environment. Due to deforestation, greenhouse gases are increasing in the atmosphere. The consequences of which are manifesting as global warming. Because trees absorb the carbon dioxide present in the environment and emit oxygen.

Bhopal gas tragedy American company, Union Carbide factory, used to produce mick gas to make pesticide chemical. On December 2, 1984, about 2500 people lost their lives in a few hours due to leakage of poisonous milk gas (methyl isocyanide) in the factory of this gas plant. And thousands were injured. Thousands of animals had died. This incident is known as the Bhopal Gas Tragedy.

This incident is discussed here because it is an example of pollution caused by industrialization. Not only this, but the entire world is also aware of the horrific consequences caused by the atomic bomb attack in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan on August 6 to 9, 1945. Japan has not recovered from the air pollution caused by it. Due to the attack, the destructive gases were absorbed into the entire atmosphere.

According to scientists, in the name of industrialization, 3.6 million tons of carbon dioxide have been released into the atmosphere in the last 100 years, due to which the temperature of our earth has increased.

Moreover, weather changes are also happening due to this, such as extreme heat, flood, drought, acid rain, melting of snow, sea level rise etc. America alone emits about 21% of the world’s carbon in the atmosphere.

The conclusion

Increasing pollution has become a headache for the entire world today. Due to pollution, things are getting worse day by day. Because the whole world is serious about it. Every year Environment Day, Water Day, Ozone Day, Earth Day,

Biodiversity Day etc. are celebrated to spread awareness among the people. From time to time there has been a Scottholm conference, the Montreal Agreement, etc. to protect the environment.

Essay on Pollution 4 (600 words)

Pollution has become a global problem today. It has completely changed our Earth and is damaging the environment day by day, which is making our life more difficult. Many types of organisms and species are slowly going extinct due to these harmful effects of pollution.

Types of pollution

1. Air pollution

Air pollution is considered the most dangerous pollution, the main reason for this pollution is the smoke emanating from industries and vehicles. Harmful smoke emanating from these sources also obstructs breathing for people. Increasing industries and cars have increased air pollution day by day, which has created many health problems related to bronchitis and lungs.

2. Water pollution

Waste from industries and homes is often found in rivers and other water sources, which pollutes them. Our rivers, once considered clean and holy, have become home to many diseases today because they have been found in large quantities of plastic materials, chemical waste and many other types of non-biodegradable waste.

3. Land pollution

The industrial and domestic waste which is not disposed of in water is spread on the ground. Although many efforts are made to recycle and reuse it, there is no significant success. Due to such land pollution, mosquitoes, butterflies and other insects thrive in it, which causes many diseases in humans and other organisms.

4. Sound pollution

Noise pollution arises from loud sound machines running in factories and other loud noises. Along with this, it also increases the noise pollution due to the vehicles running on the road, and the sound produced due to bursting of firecrackers, loudspeakers. Noise pollution is the leading cause of mental stress in humans, which, along with many side effects on the brain, reduces hearing power.

5. Light pollution

Light pollution is caused due to excessive and excessive generation of light in an area. Light pollution is caused by excessive use of bright objects in urban areas. Objects that produce too much sun without any need to increase light pollution, which causes many problems.

6. Radioactive pollution

Radioactive pollution refers to the pollution that is generated in the atmosphere by unwanted radioactive elements. Dangerous infection arises from weapons explosion and testing, mining etc. Along with this, the components made as waste in nuclear power stations also increase radioactive pollution.

7. Thermal pollution

Water is used as a coolant in many industries, which is the main cause of thermal pollution. This causes aquatic organisms to face problems like temperature changes and lack of oxygen in water.

8. Visual pollution

Things made by humans that affect our vision are subject to visual pollution such as billboards, antennas, garbage cans, electric poles, towers, wires, vehicles, multi-storeyed buildings etc.

World’s most polluted cities

On the one hand, while many cities in the world have succeeded in reducing the level of pollution, in some cities this level is increasing very fast. Cities like Kanpur, Delhi, Varanasi, Patna, Peshawar, Karachi, Sijizhuang, Heje, Chernobyl, Bemanda, Beijing and Moscow are included in the list of world’s most polluted cities.

The quality of air quality in these cities is inferior, and along with this the problem of water and land pollution is also increasing day by day, which has made the standard of living in these cities quite pathetic. This is the time when people need to control the pollution level along with developing cities.

Ways to reduce pollution

Now that we have come to know the causes and effects and types of pollution, we will now have to make efforts to stop it. By following some of these measures, we can control the problem of corruption.

1. Car Pooling

2. Say no to firecrackers

3. Recycle / Reuse

4. Keeping your surroundings clean

5.Using limited use of pesticides and fertilizers

6. Putting trees

7. Use Compost

8. Not using light excessively and excessively

9. By making stricter rules regarding the use of radioactive substances

10. By making stringent industrial regulations

11. By planned construction

The conclusion

Pollution is destroying our environment day by day. To stop this, we need to take the necessary steps so that the beauty of this earth can remain intact. If we continue to ignore this problem instead of solving it, then in future we will have to face its fatal consequences.
